GRP enclosures and housings are now considered the preferred option where the protection of electrical and mechanical equipment is required in indoor or outdoor environments. GRP enclosures, or GRP housing units, are an alternative to the more traditional materials such as brick, concrete and steel, and provide a more cost effective and maintenance free alternative.
Commonly used for industrial applications such as pump houses, renewable energy projects, telemetry control stations and sprinkler control stations, they are also used for garages, general storage units or Biomass fuel storage units. With the introduction of window units, ventilation and full electrics, ticket or monitoring GRP kiosks for parks and commercial properties can be manufactured. All fully insulated and Fire Safety compliant. GRP enclosures for gas or electrical substations are provided with explosion relief roofs, if specified.
Sectional enclosures are supplied in multiple sections to suit the overall length and width of the enclosure required. These sections are lifted into place with a Hiab and jointed on site by our contractors, or by the customer themselves. Each segment contains a completed section with two walls and a roof, with end walls or partitions included to suit the design.
Capvond's enclosures are built to comply with wind loadings and snow loadings required for more exposed environments. Engineer calculations and designs are available for individual projects. Full Electrical fit outs are designed to suit specifications, or basic single unit requirements such as consumer units and extractor vans can all be included on request.
